RECOMMENDED LOCATION OF ALARMS • Locate the first smoke alarm in the immediate area of the bedrooms. Try to protect the escape route as the bedrooms are usually farthest from an exit. MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Attach the mounting bracket in the proper location on the wall or ceiling (screws and anchors provided). 2. To activate 9 volt battery and alarm, hold the battery, pull and remove the PULL-TAB. Confirm that the entire PULL-TAB has been completely removed. Discard PULL-TAB. 3.
