Before Using Your Express Kettle Thoroughly clean your kettle before using.Fill the kettle to its max- imum capacity (1 litre) with water and boil. See boiling instructions. Cleaning Your Express Kettle CAUTION: Do not immerse kettle or power base in any liquid, or place in a dishwasher to be cleaned. 1. Turn off and unplug unit. Allow it to cool before cleaning. 2. Remove the scale filter from inside the kettle by pushing it to the right or the left. Rinse under running water and use a soft brush if necessary (no metal brush). Replace filter. 3.
