GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Never use a machine that has a faulty muffler. Locking nut A locking nut is used to secure some types of cutting attachment. Regularly check that the muffler is securely attached to the machine. When fitting, tighten the nut in the opposite direction to the direction of rotation of the cutting attachment.
