GROUNDING WARNING! Improperly connecting the grounding wire can result in the risk of electric shock. CHARGING 1. The Battery Pack (19) requires charging before the initial use. The recommended initial charge time is twelve hours, prior to initial use of the Cordless Drill/Driver. Place the Charger on a solid surface such as a garage floor; never on anything flammable. Note: Always switch to a fresh battery when tool performance begins to diminish. Torque Settings: Use one of the 23 settings (1-23) for screwdriver usage. Use the Drill Bit setting for use with drill bits. The different sizes of screws pictured on the Ring are an indication of how much torque the Cordless Drill/Driver will apply to the bit before the clutch slips, allowing the bit to stop and helping to prevent damage to the screw, bit, or workpiece.
