General information ■ Access codes The lock code controls access to features and is supplied with the device. The lock code protects your device from unauthorized use. The preset code is 0000. When the device is locked, only calls to the official emergency number programmed into your device can be made. To insert or remove a microSD card, remove the back cover and battery first. 1. To open the memory card holder, slide the holder in the direction shown in the figure (A) and lift it up (B). 2. To insert the memory card, insert it into the holder. Make sure that the contact area on the card is facing up and towards the slot. To remove the memory card, pull it out of the holder. 3. ■ Charge the battery 1. Connect the Nokia approved charger to a wall socket. 2. Insert the charger plug into the USB connector on the right side of the device. ■ Normal operating position Your device has an internal antenna. Hold the device as you would any other telephone. Note: Your device may have internal and external antennas. As with any radio transmitting device, avoid touching the antenna area unnecessarily while the antenna is transmitting or receiving. 3. Call functions ■ Make and answer a call To make a call, enter the phone number, including the country code and area code, if necessary, and press the call key. To adjust the volume of the earpiece or handset during a call, press the volume keys up or down. When you adjust the volume, bars indicate volume level. The longer the bar, the higher the volume. To answer a call, press the call key or open the fold. To end a call or to reject an incoming call, press the end key or close the fold.
