Getting started 1. Getting started Before you can use your phone, you first need to insert a valid miniature SIM card in the phone and then charge the phone battery. Inserting the SIM card Before inserting the SIM card, make sure that the phone is switched off before you remove the battery. 1 With the back of the phone facing you, press the locking catch of the battery (1.), slide the battery down (2.) and lift the battery off the phone (3.). 2 Release the SIM card holder by sliding it to

2. About your phone Using the keys Using the power key Pressing and holding the key switches the phone on or off. Pressing the key once enters the user profiles menu. See “Profiles (Menu 3)” on page 28. When the keypad is locked, pressing the power key once turns the lights on temporarily. About your phone About the phone book (Names) You can store names and phone numbers in the phone’s internal phone book or to the memory of the SIM card. You can only use one memory at a time. Call functions Making and answering calls Making a call 1 Open the sliding cover. 2 Key in the phone number including the area code and press (or press and hold down the Navi Roller). 3 Press to end the call (or to cancel the call attempt). You can also end the call by closing the sliding cover.
