Charging Follow these guidelines to optimize battery performance. 1 With your phone turned off, connect the charger plug to the bottom of the phone. Connect the charger to an ac wall outlet. The battery indicator bar appears on the right-hand side of the screen and starts to scroll from bottom to top.
