Your new DiamondGlo heater is shipped in one box and the logs are shipped in a separate box. Packed with the DiamondGlo heater is a thermostat that must be hooked to the appliance before it is operated. Please follow the instructions on page 7 for the installation of this thermostat. 1. THERMOSTAT REMOTE CONTROL + Remove screen from front of heater. Place the remote control receiver on the floor of the heater, over next to the inside wall of the heater. Run the two wires from the receiver through the opening in the floor of the heater so they can be connected to the valve. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS ALWAYS REMEMBER: 1. Do not place any combustible material near the appliance. 2. Do not place any paper, trash or other material on the log set or in the heater. 3. Do not touch any part of the appliance when the unit is in operation. Your heater is designed to be virtually maintenance free, although periodic visual inspection and cleaning is required. Follow the instructions below for the correct procedures. 5. Remove the three (3) screws that hold the fan motor in place. 6. Slowly pull the motor and fan wheel out from the back of the heater. 7. Look between the fan wheel and the end of the motor and locate the notches referenced above in item 3. 8. Put six (6) drops of oil in the notch at each end of the motor. 9.
