Up/Down Needle Position Button RED LED GREEN LED Press this button to bring the needle up or down. The RED LED will light up when the needle is down. The GREEN LED will light up when the needle is up. The machine will stop with the needle up or down depending on the needle position determined by this button. HOW TO BALANCE THREAD TENSIONS Different threads and fabric types can cause irregular tension. Before making adjustments determine closely that the machine is threaded correctly and the proper needle is being used. Securing a Seam / Reverse Stitching The machine will sew in reverse as long as the reverse stitch lever is pressed. Secure the beginning and end of a seam by sewing in reverse for about 3/8”.
