5 CHAPTER Installation 2 DSR1024 Switch Connectivity The DSR1024 switching system requires connectivity to a server running the DSView Server software. 6 DSR1024 Switch Installer/User Guide Installation Overview The general procedure for setting up and installing the DSR1024 switch is as follows: Setting up your network The DSR1024 switching system uses IP addresses to uniquely identify the switch and the target devices. The DSR1024 switch supports both Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and static IP addressing.
