Preparing documents • A batch of documents to be fed into the scanner must be arranged so that the leading edges of all documents are aligned and centered under the for scanning automatic document feeder. Making connections Follow the instructions for installing the IEEE-1394 (FireWire) card and the Kodak Driver Software before you plug the scanner into the host computer. IMPORTANT: You must install the software on the host computer before you install the scanner. Power setup One or more power cords may be supplied with the scanner. Use only the cord required for your power type. Dispose of any unneeded power cords properly. Input and output trays The input and output trays snap into place. They also may be adjusted to fit different document sizes.
