To ensure the best possible results and to prevent damage to slides or film, however, be sure to protect your film from dust, fingerprints, and condensation as described below. Installing the IEEE 1394/Firewire Interface Board in a PCI Slot After turning the computer off and disconnecting all cables, insert the interface board in one of the computer’s PCI slots as shown below. For information on the location of the PCI slots and on installing PCI boards, see the documentation provided with your computer.
