Before Using the Scanner Safe Operation In order to ensure safe operation, be certain to read the cautions described below. Removing the Protective Packing Materials Remove all of the protective packing materials before using the scanner. 1 Remove the protective tape (indicated by the ) from the scanner. ▼ 2 Remove the protective sheet between the Document Feed Tray and the scanner. 3 Open the Document Feed Tray.
