Safety (continued) • Internal batteries must be replaced by equivalent batteries available from Tripp Lite. • The Battery Module must be disconnected from the UPS System and the Battery Module’s fuses must be removed prior to maintenance or service. Maintenance (continued) Battery Replacement Procedure 1 If fuses are externally accessible, remove them. If fuses are internally accessible, remove them in step 6. 2 Disconnect Battery Module from the UPS System. 3 Carefully wrap cable ends in electrical tape to keep them from coming in contact with each other or with any other objects. 4 Loosen screws on clamps (if present) which hold battery cables. 5 Carefully remove screws and cover panel. 6 If fuses are internally accessible, remove them. 7
