CAUTION: Before touching anything inside your computer, ground yourself by touching an unpainted metal surface, such as the metal at the back of the computer. While you work, periodically touch an unpainted metal surface to dissipate static electricity, which could harm internal components. 2 Removing and Installing Components This section provides detailed information on how to remove or install the components from your computer. Installing the Power Supply Unit (PSU) 1. Hold the PSU handle and slide the PSU into the computer. 2. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer. Removing the Cover 1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Lay down the computer on it's right side with the latch facing up. 3. Lift up the cover-release latch. 8

4. Lift the cover upward to a 45–degree angle, and remove it from the computer. Installing the Cover 1. Place the computer cover on the chassis. 2. Installing the Optical Drive 1. Lift the release latch, and slide the optical-drive cage inside the compartment. 2. Press on the clasp to release the latch and thread the cables into the holder. 3.
