2 Using the Navigation System for the First Time The navigation system is ready for use after it has been connected to the power supply. 1. Turn the device on. The LANGUAGE window opens. 2. Tap on the language you would like to use. The map opens in Standard mode. It shows the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. 4 Navigation Impaired GPS Reception If GPS reception is impaired, navigation will be interrupted. The navigation software remains active. As soon as GPS reception is restored, the navigation system calculates any change of position which has occurred in the meantime. You may simply continue navigation. Arriving at Your Destination When you have reached the specified destination, a message to this effect will be displayed. Only your current position (triangle in red) will now be shown

4.1.5 Direct Access to POI The Direct Access section contains three categories of POI. Destinations in your vicinity that correspond to one of these categories can be listed quickly, without the need for additional entry. ► In the MENU window, tap on Settings > POI to select the categories available in the Direct Access section.
