GAS INSTRUCTIONS 8 CHECK THAT ALL BURNER VALVES ARE OFF Valves are shipped in the OFF position, but you should check to be sure that they are turned OFF. Check by pushing down and turning clockwise. If they do not turn, they are off. Proceed to the next step. If they do turn continue turning them clockwise until they stop, then they are off. Proceed to the next step. GAS INSTRUCTIONS 10 CHECK FOR GAS LEAKS DANGER Do not use an open fl ame to check for gas leaks. Be (1) sure there are no sparks or open fl ames in the area while you check for leaks. Sparks or open fl ames will result in a fi re or explosion which can cause serious bodily injury or death and damage to property. (2) WARNING: You should check for gas leaks every time you disconnect and reconnect a gas fi tting. Note - All factory-made connections have been thoroughly checked for gas leaks. Th

MAINTENANCE 17 ® WEBER SPIDER /INSECT SCREENS ® Your Weber gas barbecue, as well as any outdoor gas appliance, is a target (1) for spiders and other insects. They can nest in the venturi section(1) of the burner tubes. This blocks the normal gas fl ow, and can cause the gas to fl ow back out of the air shutter. MAINTENANCE 18 MAIN BURNER FLAME PATTERN ® The Weber gas barbecue burners have been factory set for the correct air and gas mixture.
