Change Oil Filter Some engines are equipped with an oil filter. Replace the oil filter every other oil change, in accordance with the “Oil Change Intervals” table on page 8. Always use a genuine Kohler oil filter, Part No. 52 050 02, and replace as follows: 1 . Drain the oil from the engine crankcase. 2. Allow the oil filter to drain. Troubleshooting When troubles occur, be sure to check the simple causes which, at first, may seem to obvious to be considered. For example, a starting problem could be caused by an empty fuel tank. Some common causes of engine troubles are listed in the following table.
