Section 1 ControlWave Express INTRODUCTION 1.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION ControlWave Express remote terminal units (RTU) have been designed to perform as the ideal platform for remote site automation, measurement and data management in process control and manufacturing. ControlWave Express RTUs measure temperature and monitor a variety of analog and digital inputs. A supervisory circuit is used to switch to battery power when VCC falls out of specification. For maximum shelf life, the battery may be isolated from the circuit by removing the Backup Battery Jumper W3 from position 1 to 2 and then storing it in position 2 to 3.
