2. Drill a hole in one area of the cutout area that will allow the blade of a jigsaw to be inserted. Insert and cut out the area on the panel using the jigsaw. 3. Next drill the four holes required to insert the GPS Chart Plotter with the mounting studs. 4. Install the mounting studs on the GPS Chart Plotter and insert into the mounting hole. 5. NMEA CONNECTIONS The CP500 PWR ACC 1 connector is also used to attach NMEA devices such as AIS Receivers, digital instruments, Personal Computers, autopilots and the optional FF520 BOX FISH FINDER. *NOTE: AIS RECEIVER OPTION (for more information on AIS refer to Section 14) When an optional AIS receiver is connected, Port 1 of the NMEA In/Out Communication Setup menu must be changed to AIS 38400 as shown below for communications. 1. **NOTE: FF520 FISH FINDER OPTION STANDARD HORIZON offers an optional BLACK BOX FISH FINDER called the FF520. When connected to the CP500, Port 2 of the NMEA In/Out Communication Setup menu must be changed to FF520 as shown below for communications. 1. From the Chart page, press [MENU]. 2.3.2.1 ACC 2 CONNECTOR This cable allows connections to a VHF, NMEA device with NMEA Output or the Input of the optional Radar antenna. *NOTE: RADAR Antenna connection (optional) When an optional Radar antenna is connected to the CP500, Port 5 of the NMEA In/Out is disabled. - If Auto Switch is chosen, all the menus will be closed and the video input will be shown switching between the Video Input Full View (if connected) and the selected page. 3. CONTROLS AND INDICATORS 3.0 CONTROLS AND CONNECTIONS Using the keys located on the front panel controls the CP500. These labelled keys are dedicated to specific functions. As you press a key, a single audio beep confirms the key action; every time a key press is not valid, three rapid beeps sound to indicate that the key action is not valid.
