Overview Disc Types Supported Recordable DVD discs are divided into two categories: ‘plus(+)’and ‘minus(-)’ formats. Within these two groups, discs are further classified as ‘write-once’ discs(+R or -R)on which the blank sections are used for recording once only, and ‘rewritable’ discs(+RW or -RW) on which the recording sections can be erased and used for recording new content repeat- edly.
