OVERFLOW PROTECTIONS Our Avanti dishwasher has an overfill protection device which could automatically shut off the inlet valve and start the drain pump if the water overflow. If this occurs, turn off the main water supply before calling a servicer. If there is water in the base pan because of an overfill or small leak, the water should be removed before restarting the dishwasher. Adjusting Rinse Aid Dispenser A measured amount of rinse aid is released during the final rinse. As with detergent, the amount of rinse aid needed for your dishes depends on the hardness of the water in your area. Too much rinse aid can result in lather of foaming and cause cloudiness or streaks on your dishes. If the water in your area is very soft, you may not need rinse aid.
