Inserting the Battery Remove the battery cover located on the bottom of the PANDORA mini by sliding it in the direction of the arrow. Insert one AA alkaline battery as shown in the illustration. Be sure to insert the battery observ‐ ing the correct polarity. Battery Low display When the battery begins to run low, the Low Battery icon will light‐up. In Play mode, pressing this button will place the PANDORA mini into Bypass or Mute mode and activate the tuner (see p.18). 10

2. RHYTHM button: Use this button to enter Rhythm mode (see p.20). 3. UTILITY button: Use this button to enter Utility mode (see p.30). 4. PLAY/EDIT button: Press this button to enter Play mode (see p.16). Press and hold down this button for approximately one second to enter Edit mode (see p.21). 5. USB connector: You can connect your computer to this connector using a USB cable so that you will be able to edit PANDORA mini programs in the Editor software that’s installed on your computer.

7. INPUT jack: Connect your guitar (or bass) to this jack. 8. OUTPUT jack: Connect your guitar amp, bass amp, or mixer, etc. to this jack. 9. VOLUME dial: Use this dial to adjust the volume level coming from the OUTPUT jack and headphones jack. 10. Program Memory buttons (A, B, C, D buttons): You can assign four of your favorite programs to the A–D buttons (see p.16). 5. Low Battery icon: This icon will light‐up when the batteries run low. 6. Program name/Effect type display: This area shows the program name or effect type. When the PANDORA mini is bypassed or muted, this will function as the tuner. 7. Effect chain: This area indicates the on/off status of the DYNA, AMP, CAB, MOD, DLY, and REV effects. 8. Making connections When connecting an external device (ie‐guitar amp, bass amp, CD player, etc.) be sure to turn the unit off. ● If a CD player or other audio source is connected to the AUX jack, you can play along with your guitar or bass. However the volume must be adjusted from the connected device. ● Use a standard monaural cable to connect the PANDORA mini’s OUTPUT jack to a guitar or bass amp. Play mode Play mode is the mode that you will usually use with the PANDORA mini. Selecting a program Use the Value dial to select a program (see page 214 for program names). The program name/effect type display will indicate the program name. The number/value display will indicate the program number. You can choose from 200 rewritable user programs (000–199) and 200 preset programs (200–399). Program Memory buttons (A, B, C, D buttons) You can assign four programs to the A–D buttons. These can

“PGM>A” will appear on the LCD, indicating that the program is assigned to the A button. Adjusting the volume Use the VOLUME dial to adjust the volume level coming from the OUTPUT and headphones jacks. Alternatively, to mute the sound during tuning, press and hold down the TAP/TUNER button for approxi‐ mately two seconds. The effect chain indicators will blink rapidly on the LCD, “MUTE” will appear, and then the unit will enter Tuner mode. To return to Play mode from Bypass or Mute mode, press the TAP/TUNER button again, or press the PLAY/EDIT button. 1Play a single string on your guitar or bass. The LCD will show the note name and the calibration. If the pitch is more than a semitone higher than the note name, a sharp symbol will appear at the upper right of the note name. 2The display area will act as a meter to show the pitch. Rhythm mode Pattern selection You can choose from 100 rhythm patterns (see page 217 for the rhythm pattern names). To enter Rhythm mode, press the RHYTHM but‐ ton in Play mode (but not in Mute or Bypass Pattern tempo mode). The selected rhythm pattern will start playing.
