Inserting the Battery After charging the battery, insert it in the camera as described below. Open the battery-chamber cover. Insert the battery. 1 2 Check the label in the battery-chamber. Face the gold contacts downward and insert the battery into the battery-chamber, pressing the battery latch with the battery in the direction shown below. Inserting a Memory Card Although the camera can store pictures in internal memory, SD memory cards (sold separately) can be used to store additional pictures. When no memory card is inserted, d appears in the monitor and internal memory is used for recording and playback.
