INSTALL THE BATTERIES AND MEMORY CARD Note: If you prefer to store your photos on the camera’s internal memory, you do not need to install a memory card. To install the batteries: 1. Close the battery/memory card cover. ■ If you have difficulty closing the cover, ensure that the memory card is installed correctly. Note: After initial setup of your camera, turn the camera off prior to opening the battery/memory card cover.

GETTING READY TO TAKE PICTURES 11 SET THE DATE AND TIME When you transfer a photo to a computer or print a photo, the time and date the photo was taken are shown. To set the display style: 1. Rotate the Mode dial to Set Up. SET UP 2. Press the On/Off button, located on the back of the camera, to turn the camera on. 3. Use the Down button , located on the back of the camera, to select Date/Time, and then press the Display button.
