First Steps Inserting Batteries Insert an EN-EL5 battery that has been fully-charged using the supplied MH- 61 battery charger into your camera. Open the Battery-chamber Cover 1 Slide the cover in the direction shown in ( ) until it stops and open the cover ( ).
