Taking pictures/videos Using the framing marks to take pictures Framing marks indicate the camera focus area. The camera attempts to focus on foreground subjects, even if the subjects are not centered in the scene. 1 Press the Shutter button halfway. Taking pictures/videos Using the optical zoom When taking pictures/videos, use optical zoom to get up to 10X closer to your subject. Optical zoom is effective when the lens is no closer than 24 in.
