1 Getting Started What Can I Do With My KODAK EASYSHARE DX4900 Zoom Digital Camera? EJEC OPEN EJECT Chapter 1 Loading the Batteries A KODAK Lithium Battery, KCRV3 or 2, AA lithium batteries are included with your camera.* To load the batteries: 1 Turn off the camera. 2 On the bottom of the camera, slide the battery door in the direction of the arrow, then lift to open. 3 Insert the batteries as shown below. 4 Close the battery door. Chapter 1 Turning the Camera On and Off 1 To turn on the camera, slide the power switch to the On ( | ) position. The built-in lens cover opens and the Status Display turns on. Chapter 1 Checking the Batteries Check the battery power level in the Status Display before you begin taking pictures. Don’t miss an important picture because the camera batteries are low or exhausted. 1 Turn on the camera. 2 Check the battery symbol that appears in the Status Display. If no symbol appears, your battery is fully charged. Low —batteries soon need to be replaced or recharged. Exhausted (blinking) — batteries are too weak to power the camera. Chapter 1 Setting the Clock The camera has a built-in clock that maintains the date and time in a 24-hour format. If the battery is removed from the camera for an extended period of time, or is exhausted, you may need to reset the clock.
