Figure 5: Pop-up Flash Button Setting the Flash Mode Your camera has four flash modes for the pop-up flash. Each mode is displayed on the status LCD with the icon(s) shown in Table 5. The default flash mode depends on the current exposure mode that is set on the camera (see Table 5). Understanding the Exposure Bar Graph Figure 6: Exposure Bar Graph in The exposure bar graph is only displayed in the status LCD when the camera is set to the Program, Manual Exposure Mode Shutter Priority (Tv), Aperture Priority (Av), or Manual exposure mode. Using the Sub-Dial Figure 9: Sub-Dial The sub-dial is located on the front of the camera (see Figure 9). Its functionality changes depending on the exposure mode you set. Setting Auto/Manual Focus Press the left (AF/MF) soft key in the live view of Capture mode to toggle between Auto Focus (AF) and Manual Focus (MF) modes.
