3) Setting Up Your Phone Your phone has four basic options that you need to set up first. Using Seven Digits Instead of Ten If you can make a local call by dialing only seven digits instead of ten, you can tell the phone to hide your local area code in the Caller ID list; any calls from outside your area code will show all ten digits. Low battery alert When the battery pack is very low and needs to be charged, the phone is programmed to eliminate functions in order to save power. If the phone is not in use, LOW BATTERY CHARGE HANDSET appears on the LCD, and none of the Low Battery Low Battery keys will operate.
