Connections and Setup Connecting the AC (Electrical) Power Plug the power adaptor cord into the power jack on the back of the base and the other end into an electrical outlet. The charge/in use indicator turns on to indicate the battery is charging when the handset is on the cradle. Allow the phone to charge for 12 hours prior to first use. Telephone Operation Local Area Code 1. Press the MENU button once, then press the 4 button until AREA CODE is displayed. 2. Press the SELECT/SAVE or STORE button to select. 3. Telephone Operation Hold Press the HOLD button to put a call on hold. To take a call off hold, press the HOLD button again. To switch a call on hold from the base to the cordless handset, press the HOLD button on the cordless handset. Transfer You can transfer the call to another extension. 1.
