Getting Started Turning Your Phone On and Off To turn your phone on: • Press and hold to turn your phone on. Once your phone is On, it displays “Looking for Service” which indicates that your phone is searching for a signal. When your phone finds a signal, it automatically enters standby mode – the phone’s idle state. At this point, you are ready to begin making and receiving calls. Tip: Be sure to watch your phone’s battery level indicator and charge the battery before it runs out of power. Installing the Battery To install the LiIon battery: 1. Slide the battery cover down and lift up to remove it. 2. Insert the top end of the battery into the phone housing by using the direction of the arrow printed on the battery. The gold contacts on the top of the battery should match up with those on the phone. 3. Push the bottom end of the battery down until it snaps into place.
