4.2 START/STOP TIME The drive accepts the commands listed in the SAS Interface Manual less than 3 seconds after DC power has been applied. Controlling S.M.A.R.T. The operating mode of S.M.A.R.T. is controlled by the DEXCPT and PERF bits on the Informational Exceptions Control mode page (1Ch).
