1.0 Scope ® ® This manual describes Seagate Technology LLC, Savvio 10K.4 FC (Fibre Channel) disk drives. Savvio 10K.4 FC drives support the Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop and SCSI Fibre Channel Protocol specifica- tions to the extent described in this manual. 5.1.3 Seek errors A seek error is defined as a failure of the drive to position the heads to the addressed track. After detecting an initial seek error, the drive automatically performs an error recovery process.
