This will be indicated on the product; additionally there is no battery compartment. To check charge on these models, switch off the alarms AC supply at the Consumer Unit/Fuse Box. 13. Limitations of Smoke/Heat Alarms Warning! Alarms are devices that can provide early warning of possible fires at a rea- sonable cost; however, alarms have sensing limitations.
