Scanner Installation The following section covers the installation and setup of the GMR 20 (2 kW) and GMR 40 (4 kW) Marine Radars. Once a suitable mounting location has been determined, verify that the mounting hole locations are aligned fore and aft, then drill four 9.5 mm (0.37") mounting holes referencing Figure 1 below. Final Wiring Connections Once the scanner is installed and the cable routed, you are ready to connect the Power, Ground and Marine Network. 1. Powering on the System To power on the scanner: 1. On the MFD (Multi-Function Display), press the red Power key. The scanner is automatically powered on with the MFD.
