WIRE REQUIREMENTS Figure 1 and the table show the number of wires that must be available at the thermostat in stand-alone thermostat systems (i.e. not as ® part of an Aprilaire Model 6504 Intelligent Zone System). (2) OPEN THE THERMOSTAT Use your hands to pull the thermostat face off of the base. Separate one side at a time. There are latches on either side of the thermostat. If needed, the thermostat can be pried from the base by inserting a flat-head screwdriver (see Figure 3).
