Chapter 3 OPERATING DETAILS The Explorer Handheld GPS is a miniature computer, composed of a CPU, memory IC and operation system (OS), called HOLUX OS. It is designed to receive the satellite signals once every 100 milli-second, i.e. 10 times per second, and to calculate all the retrieved data in the CPU.
